Description

Delightful pastries twisted with mixed berry preserves and baked to golden perfection, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup mixed berry preserves
  • 1 egg, beaten for wash
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Spread the mixed berry preserves evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.
  5. Mix the melted butter with vanilla extract and brush it over the berry preserves.
  6. Cut the pastry into eight equal strips using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  7. Twist each strip several times into spiral shapes.
  8. Place the twisted strips on the prepared baking sheet, allowing space between each one.
  9. Brush each twist with the beaten egg wash.
  10. Sprinkle granulated sugar over the top of each twist.
  11. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  12. Allow the twists to cool for five minutes before serving.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Prepare the twists ahead of time and refrigerate for up to a day before baking. Can also be frozen unbaked.
