- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp paprika

- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced (for yogurt sauce)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Combine the ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper (if using), and parsley in a large mixing bowl. Mix with your hands until thoroughly blended.
- Shape the mixture into oval-shaped koftas, about 2-3 inches long.
- Cook the koftas in a preheated skillet with olive oil over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt in a bowl; adjust seasoning to taste.
- Serve the warm koftas alongside the creamy garlic yogurt sauce and garnish with parsley.
Notes
Feel free to substitute ground chicken with lamb or beef and Greek yogurt with a dairy-free option if desired.
