- 2 cups Cooked and Shredded Chicken (rotisserie or leftover)
- 8 oz Cream Cheese (room temperature)
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Dried Parsley
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 tbsp Melted Butter
- 1 pkg Crescent Roll Dough
- 1/2 cup Panko Breadcrumbs (optional)
- 1 large Egg (beaten for wash)
- 4 tbsp Butter (for sauce)
- 1/4 cup All-purpose Flour
- 1 cup Whole Milk
- 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder (for sauce)
- 1/2 tsp Salt (for sauce)
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper (for sauce)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix the filling: In a large bowl, combine chicken, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, black pepper, and melted butter.
- Prepare the crescent rolls: Unroll the dough into triangles and pinch the seams.
- Fill the pillows: Spoon the chicken mixture onto the wider end of each triangle and roll up.
- Prepare for baking: Place on a baking sheet seam side down and brush with egg; sprinkle with panko if desired.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Make the sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, then gradually add milk and cream; stir in Parmesan and seasonings.
- Serve the chicken pillows drizzled with the creamy Parmesan sauce.
