Description

A comforting and creamy chicken and rice dish that combines tender chicken, fluffy rice, and a rich, velvety sauce perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until glistening.
  2. Cook the chicken breasts seasoned with salt and pepper for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.
  4. Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic in the same skillet until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the rice and pour in the chicken broth, bringing it to a gentle boil.
  6. Reduce the heat, cover the skillet, and simmer for about 15 minutes until the rice is fluffy.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream and return the chicken to the skillet, heating through for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Serve hot over rice, garnished with fresh parsley.
