Description

A delightful sandwich featuring crispy, golden-brown chicken breasts, creamy Caesar dressing, and fresh romaine lettuce, all nestled in buttery brioche buns.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 brioche buns, split
  • 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup shaved Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: Tomato slices

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together buttermilk, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Add chicken breasts, cover, and marinate in fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Set up a dredging station with flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne in a shallow dish.
  3. Remove chicken from buttermilk, dredge in flour mixture, and place on a wire rack.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry chicken in batches until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes per side.
  6. Drain chicken on a wire rack lined with paper towels.
  7. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Parmesan, lemon juice, Dijon, minced garlic, and black pepper.
  8. Slowly drizzle in olive oil while whisking to emulsify the dressing.
  9. Optional: Toast brioche buns for extra flavor.
  10. Assemble the sandwich: Spread dressing on both buns, add lettuce, fried chicken, and top with shaved Parmesan and tomato slices.
  11. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a healthier version, use an air fryer or bake the chicken. Customize with grilled tofu for a vegetarian option.
