Description

Deliciously crispy garlic butter cod bites served with a tangy creamy lemon herb dip. Perfect for appetizers or a main dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound cod fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)
  • For the creamy dip:
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chives, chopped
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cod: Cut the cod fillets into bite-sized pieces and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Melt Butter & Mix Seasoning: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat the Cod: Toss the diced cod in the butter-garlic mixture until well coated. Sprinkle fresh parsley on top.
  4. Cook: Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the cod bites in a single layer and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden and crispy.
  5. Make the Creamy Lemon Herb Dip: Combine sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, lemon zest, dried dill, and fresh chives in a mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper, and stir until creamy.
  6. Serve: Plate the cod bites with the creamy dip, garnished with additional parsley and lemon wedges.

Notes

For a healthier option, substitute butter with olive oil. You can also adapt the recipe to an air fryer for a crispy finish.
