Description

A vibrant bowl mixing marinated steak with rice and fresh vegetables, topped with a creamy spicy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine or brown rice
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetables of choice (e.g., bell peppers, carrots, cucumbers)

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, gochujang, and minced garlic to create a marinade. Marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Grill or pan-sear the marinated steak over medium-high heat until desired doneness.
  4. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing thinly.
  5. In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream over low heat and stir in additional gochujang for the spicy cream sauce.
  6. Assembly: Place a scoop of rice in each bowl, layer with sliced steak, drizzle with spicy cream sauce, and top with green onions and vegetables.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

Make the marinade ahead of time for deeper flavor, and feel free to customize with different proteins or vegetables.
