- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: garlic powder, smoked paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Place the seasoned chicken in a greased baking dish with space between each piece.
- Brush barbecue sauce over each breast.
- Spoon ranch dressing evenly over the chicken.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches 165°F and the cheese is golden.
- Sprinkle fried onions over the top in the last minutes of baking.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.
