Description

A comforting and flavorful dish featuring ground meat and tender potatoes, seasoned with aromatic spices.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g ground meat (beef, lamb, or chicken)
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 23 green chilies, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • Spices: cumin seeds, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish
  • Cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
  3. Sauté onions until golden brown.
  4. Stir in ginger-garlic paste and green chilies.
  5. Add the ground meat, breaking it up and cooking until browned.
  6. Incorporate chopped tomatoes and spices. Cook until the tomatoes soften.
  7. Add diced potatoes and enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer.
  8. Finish with garam masala and cook briefly.
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.

Notes

Make ahead for deeper flavor. Great with rice, flatbreads, or a fresh salad.
