- 1 package White Cake Mix (15.25 ounces)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 sticks unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 8 drops pink gel food color
- 1 teaspoon watermelon extract (optional)
- 2 packages Wilton Green Candy Melts (12 ounces each)
- Milk (if needed)
Instructions
- Prepare a baking sheet covered with waxed paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the softened butter, cake mix, and flour until smooth.
- Add watermelon extract and pink gel food color, folding gently.
- If too crumbly, add milk to achieve desired consistency.
- Fold in mini chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop, form truffle balls and place them on the baking sheet.
- Chill truffles in the freezer for 10 minutes or refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Melt the Wilton Green Candy Melts in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Dip chilled truffles into the melted coating and let excess drip away.
- Return the coated truffles to the baking sheet to set.
Notes
Truffles can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week in the refrigerator or three months in the freezer. Thaw at room temperature before serving.
