Description

A comforting casserole made with hashbrowns, ground beef, and topped with crunchy Doritos, perfect for family gatherings or weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen hashbrowns
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, pepper jack, or Monterey Jack)
  • 2 cups Doritos (crushed)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned; drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning, cream of chicken soup, and sour cream.
  4. Combine hashbrowns, beef mixture, and half of the shredded cheese in a large mixing bowl.
  5. Spread the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  6. Top with the remaining shredded cheese and crushed Doritos.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Prepare the casserole a day in advance and store in the refrigerator until ready to bake. For a vegetarian option, replace beef with black beans.
