Description

A delightful salad featuring sweet green peas, crispy bacon, and a creamy dressing, perfect for summer picnics and potlucks.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sweet green peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, toss together the sweet green peas, crumbled bacon, diced red onion, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and Greek yogurt until smooth.
  3. Pour the creamy dressing over the pea mixture and gently fold to combine.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For added texture, consider lightly toasting the bacon. Can be prepared a day in advance; add bacon on serving day.
