Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Red food coloring
  • Blue food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3–5 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing until just combined.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually introduce the dry mixture into the creamed butter mixture until just combined.
  7. Divide the dough in half. Add red food coloring to one half and blue to the other, mixing until vibrant.
  8. Swirl the red and blue doughs together for a marbled effect.
  9. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  10. Drop spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them apart.
  11. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Cool on wire racks before serving.
