Description

A tropical getaway on a plate featuring creamy sauce, jerk-spiced chicken, and vibrant bell peppers wrapped around perfectly cooked pasta.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz Pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 1 lb Chicken Breast
  • 2 tbsp Jerk Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Bell Pepper
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese (Cheddar or Mozzarella)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté Chicken: In a non-stick skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced chicken and jerk seasoning. Cook until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Add Vegetables: Toss in sliced bell pepper, onion, and minced garlic. Sauté until softened and fragrant, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Stir in Cream: Pour in heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer gently until the sauce thickens.
  5. Combine Pasta and Cheese: Add drained pasta and shredded cheese. Mix well to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce, then adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Plate the dish and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes. Substitute chicken with veggies for a vegetarian option.
