Description
A comforting dish featuring tender chicken breast cooked in a creamy ranch sauce, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Sear the chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Create the flavor base: In the same skillet, pour in the chicken broth and sprinkle in the ranch seasoning mix. Stir to combine and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Make it creamy: Gradually pour in the heavy cream while stirring to maintain a smooth texture. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until it thickens.
- Reintroduce the chicken: Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, coating them with the creamy ranch sauce. Heat through for an additional 2 minutes.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
Notes
You can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half or coconut milk for a lighter version. Allow sauce to simmer gently to avoid curdling.
