Description

A comforting dish of meatballs made with ground beef, pork, and rice, simmered in rich marinara sauce—perfect for family gatherings or cozy dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground beef, ground pork, uncooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs, approximately 1 inch in size.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add the meatballs, cooking until browned.
  4. Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs, cover, and reduce the heat to low.
  5. Simmer for about 30-40 minutes until the rice is tender.
  6. Serve hot, topped with additional marinara sauce if desired.
