Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Pizza sauce
- Cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or your choice)
- Various toppings (pepperoni, vegetables, etc.)
Instructions
- Combine ¾ cup of warm water, yeast, and sugar in a large mixing bowl; let it sit until it bubbles, around 5-10 minutes.
- Mix 2 cups of flour and ¾ teaspoon of salt in a separate bowl.
- Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil; stir until shaggy dough forms.
- Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the kneaded dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Punch down the risen dough and roll it out to your desired thickness.
- Transfer it to a pizza stone or greased baking sheet.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly, leave a border, add cheese and toppings.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and crust is golden.
