- 4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 4 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into even chunks.
- Boil the sweet potato chunks in salted water until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Stir in the milk, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Melt the butter and combine it with the chopped walnuts and breadcrumbs.
- Sprinkle the topping over the sweet potato mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
