Description

A creamy and buttery sweet potato casserole topped with crunchy walnuts and cheese, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into even chunks.
  3. Boil the sweet potato chunks in salted water until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  4. Stir in the milk, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  6. Melt the butter and combine it with the chopped walnuts and breadcrumbs.
  7. Sprinkle the topping over the sweet potato mixture.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
