Instructions
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the sourdough starter and warm water, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes.
- Pour the olive oil onto the dough and knead for an additional 5 minutes.
- Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for about 1-2 hours.
- Punch down the dough gently, shape it into a loaf, and allow it to rise again for 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the loaf for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For make-ahead, prepare the dough, shape it, and refrigerate overnight. To bake using an air fryer, adjust temperature slightly.
